Meet Aaliyah Guzman
Political Communication Specialist | Public Service Advocate
Aaliyah Guzman is a senior at the George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication with a minor in Sociology.
Her journey began on Capitol Hill, where she served as a Legislative Intern in the Office of Congressman Sean Casten, gaining valuable experience in legislative affairs through the Fall of 2023. She then worked with Amtrak's Public Relations team as a PR intern in Summer 2024. This past fall, Aaliyah interned with the Feminist Majority Foundation, contributing to op-ed writing, campaign organizing, and social media content creation. Previously, Aaliyah interned in the public relations department of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Aaliyah is excited to join the Bryson Gillette team in their 2025-2026 Politics and Public Affairs Fellowship Program beginning in June 2025!
Beyond her internships, Aaliyah is actively involved in the GW community. She served as a senior member of the Student Theater Council's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, an opinions writer for the GW Hatchet, and an SMPA ambassador. She has also held leadership roles as the Editor-in-Chief of Priestly Magazine and the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Student Theater Council.
Aaliyah's impressive academic achievements, diverse internship experiences, and active involvement in campus life make her a well-rounded and highly accomplished student.
